Whether you're a full-time student or juggling other commitments, our flexible three-month program is tailored to strengthen your English skills at the Intermediate level. Dive into immersive modules focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, meticulously designed to meet the demands of academic environments.
But that's not all! We're here to support your grammar and vocabulary acquisition, ensuring a well-rounded language education. Through a dynamic blend of face-to-face lectures, blended learning, and self-study activities, you'll have ample opportunities to practice and apply what you've learned in real-world scenarios.
By the end of this course, you'll not only demonstrate improved language skills but also be prepared to advance to the next academic level with confidence. Plus, with an equivalence to an IELTS 5.0, you'll have a solid foundation to excel in your academic and professional endeavors.
Graduates will receive a Certificate in English – Basic conferred by Singapore Raffles Music College. You will:
- Have an English Language proficiency equivalent to IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 4.5,
- Meet the English Language Requirements for SRMC’s Diploma in Music and Advanced Diploma in Dance
- At least 15 years old
- Meet SRMC’s English Language Requirements
English Language Requirements
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 3.0 administered by the British Council (Preferred by SRMC), or
- SRMC’s English Placement Test, or
- Other English Language Proficiency Tests (TOEFL etc) – will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Students will undertake the following modules during their three-month course of study.
- Listening Module
- Speaking Module
- Reading Module
- Writing Module
- Grammar Module
- Vocabulary Module
Overall, students are to develop their general ability of the English Language providing them a pathway to use this for future academic and professional goals.

Note:Â All fees are inclusive of GST (Goods & Services Tax). The current Singapore GST is charged at a rate of 9%. All fees quoted are subject to other costs arising from government directives.
In Budget 2022, the Minister for Finance of Singapore announced that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate will be increased from:
(i) 7% to 8% with effect from 1 Jan 2023; and
(ii) 8% to 9% with effect from 1 Jan 2024.
